Senator Elizabeth Warren has endorsed Liz Watson’s campaign for Congress in Indiana’s ninth congressional district.

Senator Warren said, “You know it and I know it. Everything is on the line this November.

This Congress will stop at nothing to take health care away from hardworking Americans. This Congress passed the Tax Scam, a great big handout to the billionaire class, even as most working people haven’t seen a raise in far too long. This Congress has passed bills that will allow the biggest Wall Street banks to play Russian roulette with our financial system.

Worst of all, this Congress has failed in its essential Constitutional role of oversight over a lawless administration. It’s unacceptable.

We got here because of the corrupting influence of money in our politics. This Congress represents the United States of corporate lobbyists and special interests. It doesn’t represent the people.

That’s why I am so excited to endorse Liz Watson, who is running in Indiana’s Ninth District. She has the brains, the guts, and the heart to get Congress working for the people.

I first heard about Liz back when she was a staffer in Congress advocating for one of my bills, the Schedules That Work Act. The bill gave workers notice of their schedules so they could arrange transportation and child care. I saw how she brought people together behind the $15 minimum wage bill and other legislation that would make a real difference in people’s lives.

Now she’s running against a Republican who won his seat because he had millions in family money to flood the district with paid advertising. He gave himself a $4.5 million tax cut with his vote for the GOP Tax Scam. We need a change.

Liz has run an incredible campaign. She has boundless energy and insight on the pocketbook issues that matter most. With your help, Liz can win in November and help lead a resurgence of progressive ideas that will get this country back on track again.”
